2008 is now in the past. Our New Year started with Kevin and Michelle arriving about 10:30 am. Jim, Katie and the kids arrived about 2:00 pm. The afternoon started with opening our Christmas presents. Stephanie was really excited, helping whoever she could open gifts. We had our New Years Dinner that evening, turkey, ham and all the trimmings. It was a long day so everyone made it to bed fairly early. We awoke to the patter of several little feet, and getting tickled by Steph. We had a great day, went to see Opry Mills, where the kids had a ride on the carousel, the Harley dealership and just having fun. The weather was wonderful, almost 70 degrees. Saturday was a little gray, but we still had a great time. Everyone was up and out of the house by 5:45 Sunday, Jim and family on their way to NY, hopefully they will be home in a few hours. Kevin and Michelle are now safely back in Hickman. It was a quick but fun couple of days.
I have wished my dad a happy 80th birthday, and Rachel is celebrating her birthday also. Must keep busy, and still have a ton of food here. Looking forward to our next guests in a couple of weeks. Guess I had better hurry and get the "hotel" ready! Till next time...
